Silvernail bought Smith a truck, helped him get a job, and even let Smith into his home.

Then, Silvernail says he found out Smith was doing meth, and had a more violent history in prison than he knew.

Once I had a client invite me to go hog hunting.  Ummm, no.  No way was I gonna go out in the woods with a nut-client holding a rifle.  No way Jose.

Other attorneys, sure.  But you know you can’t trust a lawyer… .

I’ve felt the same as of late.  Whether outrage over a confederate flag, random knock-out games, or some silly lion in South Africa, people are becoming …. simple.   And that will compound real and more important problems of the day.

This, is a very valid observation as well (yes, on that stupid lion again – Who?):

“….realize a very important and vital lesson about the mental faculties of your average American.  And that lesson is they are no longer capable of logic, reason, empiricism or sanity.  Worse, they’re so selfish and narcissistic, they happily put their emotions over principles and the rights of others.”

So true.  I see it often in my practice, where greed, emotion and id outweigh respect for others, kindness, and logic.

The lowest common denominator is becoming more common.

One of the strongest denunciations came from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), which said on its Twitter account that Palmer should hang for killing Cecil.

‘If, as reported, this dentist & guides lured #CeciltheLion out of the park with food so as to shoot him on private property because shooting #CeciltheLion in the park would have been illegal, he needs to be extradited, charged, &, preferably, hanged.’

Hanged?!  Really?

Legally, if this guys story is true – and it likely is, so long as he’s got his paperwork in order – it entirely the guide’s responsibility.  Local laws may vary though.  Especially in South Africa.  Roar!
