Not sure why Pebbles not fond of my Trump pen… .
Pebbles and Sophie, playing their favorite game. The “nibbles game.”
Ironically, I ran across this site some time ago and still check it out from time to time – their pit-bull mix is named pebbles as well.
SO, she wanted to name pebbles “taquila” for her fawn color. I said no, imagining myself having to run after the dog in public if she got away, screaming “Taquila! Taquila! come back!!” So, her name is pebbles.
Pebbles is, ahem, highly trained. More or less. We did lots of training classes with her, clicker training, positive reinforcement, etc. She’s “canine good citizen” certified. Though FIL likes to point that out when pebbles does not do what may be asked of her…. .
At least pebbles’ official title is “pebbles akc cgc.” She, has a title.* Does sophie have a title? Hmm?
Some cuteness factor, after the break… . Pebbles with some of her litter mates….
Dogs, being dogs. And happy. Good dogs.
Anyway, pebbles is very happy to be united with her mother, Sophie.
Next up, Sophie. Pebbles’ mother. Just as dopey. Very loveable. A big flower. A pushover. Though, the first time I saw her she ran at me full-bore across a yard and skeerd the you-know-what outta me. Something about a strange dog running at you outta the darkness. That gets your attention. That had a happy ending though. She is a wall-flower.
I have seen sophie drop the hammer when we are on walks and some strange dog runs up in a fury. Sophie wins. Pebbles stands aside. The dynamic is quite amazing. Alien dog runs away. Sophie does what is needed, amazingly. The kids (pebbles and piper – the kids) keep to the side. The humans did too, it happened so fast.
They are sweet and I wish I could show video. Happy dogs. Happy times.
We love them.
And manage not to shoot it… .
I like a nice ending.
Or, why I don’t like pruning in the garden… .
