Ohhh, ban people on the watch list from buying guns! Good idea!
It may seem like a good idea – but think about this for just a minute:
So, gang-members, muggers, terror-mongers, any grade of criminal, they follow the law and register their guns, yeah? They’re going to go to a gun-store and buy their weapons? Submit a 4473?
You want to go and try to obtain or make explosives, or, another example, grain alcohol, with some nefarious intent, and you’re going to apply for a permit? Don’t think so.
What about law-abiding contributing and paying citizenry like – I assume – you and I? Why are we allowing any more control, any more regulation on our rights?
Know-nothing, useless, pointless regulation and rule-making which won’t make a difference or have any effect. Politics.
And of course the GOP, they agreed to allow votes on gun control. I would have just left the building. Conservative leadership is non-existent folks. They’re politicians and they are selling their constituents out. Politics.
Bill of Rights? Anyone read it lately?
DNC Chair Debbie Schultz with Chris Matthews on MSNBC:
She can’t say what’s true, and what more and more are realizing, I hope.
A related and good read – “American Betrayal” by Diana West.
Part real-life thriller, part national tragedy, American Betrayal lights up the massive, Moscow-directed penetration of America’s most hallowed halls of power, revealing not just the familiar struggle between Communism and the Free World, but the hidden war between those wishing to conceal the truth and those trying to expose the increasingly official web of lies.
Of course he did. Damn dirty democrat.
Think along the lines of, “…get your hands off me you damn dirty ape…”. No racial connotation there, just a memorable line from a sorta good movie.
I am biased. I voted for Christ long ago, when he was a Republican, but cannot stand his flip-flop’s between parties in the last many years. There was a third guy, and independent, in this election… .
It looks like they may have a
good basis to do so, file the petition to extend that is. Maybe. I am hoping it’s denied. The story is that there was confusion over where to vote by some. Perhaps those “confused” of where they live, and showing up to vote in wrong precincts. How convenient.
Florida. Problem is, there are a lot of Democrats in major population centers.
Plan on a recount, as we have a close race here.
DA Craig Watkins tells CBSDFW.com:
“We’re dealing with the issue that he may have knowingly exposed individuals in Dallas County to the Ebola virus. We’ve prosecuted individuals, for knowingly exposing individuals to HIV – which is aggravated assault.”
I wouldn’t give it that much thought. Charges are easy, if the guy lives. A conviction, forget about it.
There is no way to prove intent in the context of Duncan’s travels to the US and then in his wandering around Dallas County, to whatever extent he did. Especially as he sought treatment when be became symptomatic, but was turned away with nothing more than a script.
Sounds like an election year in Dallas County? (it is).
Edit; There is a report that he has died. Unverified.
