Earlier this year, an article at reason.com stated
As part of his efforts to address the menace of climate change, President Obama directed the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to devise a Clean Power Plan (a.k.a. the War on Coal) that aims to force states to cut carbon dioxide emissions from electric power generation plants by 30 percent below their 2005 levels by 2030. The EPA claims that its new regulations “will lead to climate and health benefits worth an estimated $55 billion to $93 billion in 2030.” Regulations evidently produce only benefits, never costs.
Huh. Has your electric bill doubled over the last seven years or so? Mine has. Recall that this was intentional on Obama’s part.
This, from just yesterday:
Maybe Congress can’t “turn back the clock” on the Clean Power Plan, but the courts may well do so. We can only hope.
The more serious threat to Obama’s rule will likely come in the courts. The Electric Reliability Coordinating Council, which represents energy companies, said 20 to 30 states were poised to join with industry in suing over the rule. The Obama administration has a mixed track record in fending off legal challenges to its climate rules.
We know that Hillary wants some ludicrous scheme where every home would have renewable energy by 2027. Right. China ramps up coal, oil and nuclear power generation, manufactures those solar panels for sale to the US and laughs all the way to the bank. While our economy gets driven into the ground by this Administrations misguided energy policies.
